Key is a cross-disciplinary strategist operating at the intersection of markets, technology, and capital across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

As Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of The Hong Kong Mill, he defines the firm’s strategic direction, positioning, and institutional architecture, aligning its intelligence, capital, and operational capabilities into coherent, decision-oriented frameworks.

His experience spans private markets, cross-border financial operations, and institutional advisory, including involvement in offshore fund and trust structuring, IPO-related work, and selected M&A transactions. He has worked extensively on designing and coordinating custodial and financing infrastructures across multiple jurisdictions.

In addition, Key has held advisory and operational roles across sectors including entertainment, business brokerage, power infrastructure, algorithmic trading, education, and corporate services, enabling him to translate complex commercial environments into structured and scalable outcomes.

Samuel C

Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer

Samuel is an operational strategist and serial entrepreneur operating at the core of SME and startup development across Greater China and Southeast Asia.

His experience spans over a decade of venture building, institutional advisory, and performance optimization, including a five-year tenure at a top-tier global consultancy. He has advised more than 90 companies, including 30+ listed entities, on mandates ranging from board governance and strategic expansion to complex exit positioning. His track record is marked by successful liquidity events, including IPOs on the HKEX Main Board, GEM Board, and NASDAQ, as well as M&A transactions involving FinTech unicorns and leading investment firms.

Beyond transactional advisory, Samuel has been deeply engaged in the regional innovation ecosystem, maintaining robust networks with government bodies and public innovation agencies. He has been instrumental in building cross-border platforms that connect capital and talent, including co-hosting one of the region’s preeminent startup competitions in partnership with a leading tech venture platform.

Wayne C

Co-Founder & Chief Technical Officer

Wayne leads the technical strategy, architecture, product development, and innovation that underpin HKM’s three business pillars: Qualitative and Quantitative Data Analysis, Applied AI Development, and Algorithmic Trading.

A graduate in Electrical Engineering from The University of Hong Kong (HKU), Wayne brings deep domain expertise from leading organisations across the financial and technological sectors. His career has been defined by building production-grade data pipelines, turning complex data into actionable intelligence, designing and deploying production AI systems, and engineering high-performance algorithmic trading strategies—the core capabilities HKM leverages to deliver cutting-edge solutions to clients.

Wayne’s technical foundation was strengthened through hands-on roles in fintech and professional services. He developed AI models for identity document detection and optical character recognition (OCR), and built neural network models for facial recognition applications.

During his time at a global professional services firm, Wayne contributed to high-impact digital transformation projects, supporting cloud and big data strategy development for a multinational bank and helping craft roadmaps for CRM and customer data platform migrations. He also drove measurable operational excellence by performing in-depth quantitative data analysis at a leading multinational financial company.

Following these experiences, Wayne designed and deployed a proprietary algorithmic trading system that has proven consistently profitable and continues to generate revenue to this day, demonstrating his ability to translate quantitative research into production-grade financial strategies. This combination of rigorous technical expertise and proven real-world impact positions Wayne to drive HKM’s vision of refined, decision-grade intelligence.

Charlene F

Co-Founder & Director of Operations

Charlene is a cross-functional operator focused on execution, coordination, and client engagement across emerging technology and services environments. She holds a law degree and brings a structured, detail-oriented approach to operations, with particular attention to contractual clarity, risk awareness, and internal alignment.

Her experience includes supporting business operations, working with legal and commercial documentation, and coordinating across functions to ensure effective execution. She has also been involved in client-facing roles and is actively developing her capabilities in business development and sales.
